How can an institution be a PGC Visayas consoritum member?

An institution can be a PGC Visayas consortium member of they have a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and memorandum of academic and research cooperation (MOARC) with UP Visayas. PGC Visayas consortium members are expected to submit a genomics-based proposal in 2 years.

How can research proposal be submitted?

Research proposals can be submitted through e-mail to pgc.upvisayas@up.edu.ph. Please address all communications oto the Program Director of PGC Visayas.

How will information be dissemincated about the activities of the PGC Visayas Capacity- Building Scheme?

PGC Visayas will dissemincate information about the activities of the PGC Visayas Capacity-Building Scheme by e-mail or phone call. The official PGC Visayas e-mail address is pgc.upvisayas@up.edu.ph.

How long will the PGC Visayas Capacity-Building Scheme last?

Meetings and research repacking seminars will be conducted as needed. The Bioinformatics and labs skills training components of the PGC Visayas Capacity-Building Scheme is projected to last for six (6) months. The basic Bioinformatics Seminar was conducted last August 30, 2019 followed by the Bioinformatics Workshop on Variant Calling, Population Structure and GWAS last October 14-16, 2019.
