The Philippine Genome Center Visayas is the genomics-focused multidisciplinary research facility under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension at University of the Philippines Visayas, Miagao, Iloilo.
The primary mission of Philippine Genome Center Visayas is to provide a deeper understanding and judicious application of advanced knowledge and emerging technologies in various fields for the benefit of Filipinos and Philippine society. Since its inception, this laboratory has been providing services, conducting trainings and webinars, and give technical advise to personnel involved in various projects in UP Visayas and in its consortium members. The laboratory is directed by Victor Marco Emmanuel N. Ferriols, Ph.D., with nine core staff members. The laboratory is aiming to become a research and training facility for integration and innovation.
